April Fools Day

My family has always loved April Fools Day.

I think it is my Mom who really loves it and keeps it going.

She is really cute about it too.

It brings out her “infectious giggles” that everyone adores.

My youngest brothers are twins.  They were born on April Fool’s Day.

{Happy Birthday Cory & Cody!}

My family got a kick out of that.

So for fun and in honor of my cute brothers,

I put together a few of my favorite April Fool’s Day Links:

First is a phony tax letter from Family Fun.  It is a cute and a free printable.

It is a funny jab about allowances and is not your normal April Fool’s Day joke.

{I think I may play this on my husband with my children this year…let’s see if he really reads my posts…lol…j/k.}

I think this fake parking ticket could be pretty funny as well…

and Of course  make sure you check out Family Fun’s April Fool’s Day Food Pranks, they are always classic:

Like April Fool’s Day Grilled Cheese

Which is created using pound cake and frosting.

or Chicken not pie

Made with pie crust, pudding, and starburst.

I think this one could be really funny as well:

Arctic Cereal

The night before April Fools’ day, pour milk over half a bowl of cereal and put it in the freezer.
In the morning, add a covering of more cereal and milk. Call your child to breakfast and watch him try to eat it.

cute  idea huh? :)

April Fool Zone has some great ideas:

Hanky Painty

First scope out a local park, college, or other public area that has benches where people often sit. Note the color of the benches. Now find some paint that matches the color of the benches. Take some old clothes and paint stripes on the back of the clothes – make them look like you sat on a freshly painted bench. Let the clothes dry, then put them on. Now go to the park. Tape a “Wet Paint” sign to the bench, then sit down with your back covering the sign so no one can see it. Wait for someone to come and sit next to you. When you are sure they are watching, stand up with your back showing and act upset that you just realized you sat in paint (point to the sign which is now visible). The person will freak out thinking they sat in paint!

That’s Not Mine

Leave a gym bag lying around the office. Since no one will know who the bag belongs to, someone will open it. Inside, leave some embarrassing items (XXXL-sized underwear, Justin Beiber fan magazines, giant tube of hemorrhoidal cream, etc.). Include a fake ID with your victim’s name prominently displayed.

You can find some more of their great ideas here: http://aprilfoolzone.com/

& Finally but not least,

here are some other fun & random ideas:

  • Put food coloring in the milk.
  • Wrap a rubber band around the kitchen sink spigot.
  • Hide gummy worms in apples or other fruit.
  • Salt their toothbrush.

 Have a great

ApRil FOols dAy

everyone!!!

And don’t be to hard on your friends and family!

See you soon,

Amber, remember when we gave little Cory & Cody Barbie dolls for their birthday and fed them green eggs and ham for breakfast in bed? They were too little to understand an April Fool’s Joke like that – (3 or 4 years old) and were so disappointed and upset, I think they even cried. . . aw! I felt so BAD! Maybe that’s why they never played as many twin pranks (especially on their April Fool’s birthday) as I thought they would. I was actually disappointed that they didn’t try to fool people more – lol. . . your Silly Momma.

lol…that is too funny! I think I do remember…but something is confusing me…”who wouldn’t want a Barbie doll????” haha. Just kidding {but they WERE my favorite toy}.
I think you are right though, now that you mention it, I don’t remember the twins playing many pranks at all. I do remember Devan playing a lot of pranks though but I think that is a big part of his personality too.
I picked on you quite a bit this week. I talked about you here and on my Spring Decorating post. {I used your paintings}. Thank you for being so awesome!
      Love you silly Momma!
