In August, My friend Katrina designed and styled a Country Chic Barn Wedding
and I had the wonderful opportunity of helping her.
The Wedding was held at the Historic Wheeler Farm in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The bride and groom, Mckenna and Chris, were an adorable couple with fun, easy-going personalities.
You could tell that they were really in love and really truly enjoyed each other. It was touching.
They had us laughing, cheering them on, and tearing up all in the span of a few hours…
To match their easy-going but tasteful personalities Katrina went with an elegant country chic style
using lots of white combined with natural fibers and textures.
Tea lights in wired jars were hung from centerpieces created with branches.
We arranged 125 flower arrangements in various sizes of mason jars.
We covered the tables in long, floor-length tablecloths with burlap runners.
We hung spans of plastic tablecloths across the upper level which gave the illusion of fabric hanging softly
and we strung Christmas lights on the banister to add to ambience.
There were favors packaged in little burlap bags with decorative tags for their guests to take home
intermingled with lots of beautiful photographs from the couple’s Engagement and Bridal sittings.
Sodas and refreshments were stored in various containers all over the property.
Outside, there was the charm of the farm…
Including of course, the barn. :)
there was even a charming creek running by…
A fan for each guest.
The couple was married under an arbor which oozed of simplistic beauty.
Guests were asked to write wishes and thoughts for the Bride and Groom
on decorative tags to hang on the centerpieces.
Flower arrangements were hung on Shepard hooks around the yard.
We shipped in shabby chic furniture to create sitting areas on the grassy area outside the barn.
We also created a couple of Monogrammed wreathes to decorate with
and we through a few billowy pillows here and there to create comfort and warmth.
The sun even set at the perfect moment…
All In all it was a simply splendid evening.
Congratulations McKenna and Chris!
