Moving is bittersweet. It’s usually exciting and fun to move into a new space but it is also a ton of work. I have stayed put for many years because moving sounds overwhelming to move. The result however, is usually worth the hassle and very exciting. For example, I want a lake house someday. I want that more than anything. When this dream becomes a reality, I know that I will have no problem with the work required to pack everything up and get there.
When moving, there are a few things that will help you to feel comfortable the first night in your new home. Here are a few things that you will appreciate having.
To start with, you will want a few comforts. You may look at these and not think that they are essentials but these are items that will help you to bond with your new surroundings. I teamed up with Casper® Mattress to bring you some ideas for items that we believe will help you feel more comfortable, content, and cozy in your new space. We believe these items will also help you feel like your new space is truly yours.

A truly great rug adds style and comfort to your home. It also gives you the flexibility to add your own style and taste to your new space.
Not only does beautiful artwork allow you to add your own style to a new place but it also warms up the walls. Walls tend to feel cold and sterile until you put something on them. Hanging pictures only takes a few moments but it can completely change the feeling of a space when you walk into it.

There is something about feeling warm and cozy in a new space that helps you to bond with it. Even if you don’t have any decor or any food in your fridge, if you have a cozy bed, a great mattress, and soft bedding to get lost in, you will begin to love your space.

There is something about that just out of the shower clean feeling that lowers your guard and helps you add a new space to your comfort zone. Especially if the towel is soft, smells good, and is warm.
Try warming your towels up for 10 minutes in the dryer.
