When I think about what I am grateful for, of course the normal things comes to mind like my loved ones & our needs being covered. Talents, (everyone’s amazing talents) & technology…I feel so blessed that we are able to have the exposure to such amazing things in this day and age. I am also, believe it or not, grateful for trials or should I say, not exactly the trials but instead the the strength that is earned in overcoming them & the strength that is needed to overcome them.
“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”Melody Beattie
Something else that means a lot to me is beauty. the beauty found in the world around us makes life so much more enjoyable & brings peace to my heart.
Have you noticed all of the beautiful Autumn tablescapes floating around the world wide web lately? They are so inspirational, I just had to share some…
I love HGTV’s use of nature & gold. It creates the feeling that you could walk out into your backyard & come back with a tablescape & I gotta be honest, (being the homebody that I am), I LOVE when I can do that…
“Feeling grateful or appreciative of someone or something in your life actually attracts more of the things that you appreciate and value into your life.” Northrup Christiane
I am drooling over this neutral tablescape. I love the soft hues, the pops of autumn berries, & the hand embroidered napkin, all of which are separately loves of mine but combined, they are even better!
“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” William Arthur Ward
As winter has finally hits here in Utah, this tablescsape becomes more & more appealing to me. I love the outdoors and the setting of a lovely country background. I also adore that they used traditional & nontraditional colors for effect.
“Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.” W.T. Purkiser
Of course, I LOVE traditional as well….
“Forever on Thanksgiving Day the heart will find the pathway home.” Wilbur D. Nesbit
I have a soft spot for place cards. I love when they are simple yet lovely…
I also love when they are in the form of gifts….
These place-mats are simply elegant yet useful…
and these printables create a real party…
I love when simple details bring a table together….
and I completely admit my weakness for a lovely side table display….
There are so many people in my extended family, buffets are a lovely necessity at our family gatherings but I would never complain because they are so much fun to create.
Whatever style you may be drawn to, I hope that you have a wonderful Autumn season and a memorable Thanksgiving to my American friends! I want you to know, am very grateful for the part all of you play in my life, I would not be blessed to be able to do what I do without you…
“When asked if my cup is half-full or half-empty my only response is that I am thankful I have a cup.” Sam Lefkowitz
