 My favorite Mac & Cheese is a recipe I found in my favorite Betty Crocker book years ago.

Homemade Baked Mac & Cheese/ Snippets of Design

I love it because it is easy &  tastes great.

It uses Worcestershire sauce & dry, ground mustard which gives it a yummy flavor.

Baked Mac and Cheese

  1. 2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
  2. 1/4 c. margarine or butter
  3. 1/4 c. flour
  4. 1/2 tsp. salt
  5. 1/4 tsp. pepper
  6. 1/4 tsp. dry ground mustard
  7. 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  8. 2 c. milk
  9. 2 c. shredded or cubed Colby mix or cheddar cheese
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package directions.
  3. While the macaroni is cooking, melt the margarine in a 3-quart saucepan over low heat.
  4. Stir in the flour,salt,pepper, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Stir in milk.
  8. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
  9. Boil and stir 1 minute.
  10. Stir in cheese.
  11. Cook, stirring until cheese is melted.
  12. Drain the macaroni.
  13. Pour the noodles into an ungreased 2-quart casserole.
  14. Pour the cheese sauce over the noodles.
  15. Gently stir until blended.
  16. Bake uncovered 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly.
