Guess what you guys!  It’s Snippet’s Birthday!

I launched Snippets of Design a month ago today.

I can’t believe it has been a whole month while at the same time,

I can’t believe it has ONLY been a month.

I am blown away, ecstatic, amazed, and honestly, humbled.

I know that I keep thanking you but the truth is, I really couldn’t do this without all of you.

You have been an AMAZING support.

You are allowing me to follow my dreams and do EVERYTHING I love.

Including letting my passionately curious side take flight…

Albert Einstein once said…” I have no special talent, I am only passionately curious.”

I agree with him, I am nothing special.  I am just me, being me and it means so much that

you believe in me enough to visit me, follow my feed, and return again and again…

For that, you have my heart.

Thank you to all of you who have stuck with me and to all of my new wonderful friends…

a month is a hurdle but a very small one, I plan on being here a very long time and hopefully you do as well :)

{side note, I was unable to find sources for the two quotes above, if anyone knows the source please let me know,
I would like to give credit where credit is due…thank you!}

To celebrate today I bring you

okay, confession time, I don’t really eat the sweets I make.

{I know, right?  What is wrong with me?}

I try to…I do like them & I do have a bite or two but usually not more than that.

I used to LOVE sweets and be drawn to them but I think in my “old age” {37 }

I don’t have the same sweet tooth I used to{I have heard of that happening…i think…}

…I can’t even eat more than 2 Oreos at a time…

But this Hot Fudge Cake is perfect for me, not to sweet, not to plain and I eat it EVERY-TIME!

Plus it is just so much dang fun to make!  Who wouldn’t enjoy dumping a bunch of stuff in a pan

only to be rewarded with fudgy syrup AND cake!!!  “YUMMMMM!”

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

To get started, collect your ingredients.

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, 2 Tbsp. cocoa, baking powder, and salt.

Stir in the milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth.

Spread in an un-greased 9-inch square pan.

Combine the brown sugar, and remaining cocoa in a bowl.

Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the batter in the pan.

Pour the hot water over everything.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Serve warm

With Whipped Whipping Cream {my favorite}

Non-dairy topping, or ice cream.

K, I’m going to go celebrate, my cute hubby even brought me flowers. :)

How sweet huh?

Plus, I have a few projects for later this week to work on…

I am not going to give them away yet

but here is a hint,

I am calling them

“Three Weddings and a Laundry Room”  hehe

but I promise, they are not just for weddings or laundry rooms…they are great for Everyone!

Be sure to follow my feed if you haven’t already so you don’t miss it!

In the meantime…What do you like to do to celebrate your Birthdays?

What are some of your fun traditions?

See you soon dear friends!
