A basic table runner is a quite simply a 73″ by 15″ rectangle.

You need to cut two pieces of fabric this size then place or pin them {if it makes you feel a little more safe}

Right sides together. Sew them all the way around leaving a small gap on the side.

Turn it right side out. Iron it really well.

Sew it all the way around with whatever stitch you desire…

You can sew lace on the edge like I did with this one:

Or you can use burlap and not sew it at all!

Either way they add a POP of color every time…
